Minutes
Minutes of Last Meeting There were no matters arising from minutes of the last meeting.
Correspondence Registration for AKCC membership received and returned.
Chairman’s Report The Chairman gave his annual report.
Saturday Team Captain’s Report CA-R gave his report, giving special mention to the young players.
Sunday Team Captain’s Report MG reported on a mixed season, during which they struggled for players. He thanked RH for stepping up to Captain’s role during his injury.
Treasurer’s Report RH explained that we are currently showing £46.66 profit, but A Chapman (ground) payment outstanding, approx £325 (this figure corrected from £150 following updated information after the AGM). Successful fundraising this year raised just under £500, although Fantasy League cancelled owing to lack of support. It was noted that there were less paid up members this year. £1000 spent on new training equipment and replacement Club kit. The full report can be viewed on the website.
DW highlighted that the Club finances are in a healthy position. Emphasis at the Club is on enjoyment of the game of cricket and not profit-making.
NK suggested grants may be available from the Sandwich Neighbourhood Forum and that suitable project should be proposed. New mower and replacements doors were suggested. (Action: Committee)
Fixtures 2009 JP that the Fixture schedule for 2009 is progressing well, and although some regular fixtures have been lost, most of these have been filled. Only 4 fixtures outstanding.
James was congratulated on a splendid effort during his first year as Fixture Secretary.
Election of Officers Two of our Vice Presidents, Ron Gibson and Ossie Williams passed away last year. They will be sadly missed.
Bill Dorkings has also announced that he wished to retire from umpiring at our ground.
KD will stand down as Chairman, but will continue to help with the ground. DW thanked him for his commitment to the Club as Chairman over the years.

Annual Subscriptions/Fees All were in favour of all Club Fees remaining the same as last year.
Ground Maintenance Pre-Season Groundwork sessions will be held on the following dates – 10am at the Ground. 4 and 5 April 18 and 19 April
Fund Raising After a successful Race Night joint venture with Tilmanstone last year, it was suggested that this might be repeated this year.
Annual Dinner – 21 March – Eastry Village Hall £17.50 per person Quiz – 24 April at Woodnesborough Football Club
Raffle prize donations for both events were requested.
Tour CA-R reported on progress of arrangements for Tour 2009. The tour will take place on 3,4&5 July. Fixture for 4 July outstanding.
Any Other Business Nets All agreed pre-season nets should be arranged (Action: MG)
AKCC meetings Committee members have been attending local AKCC meetings – organisations are available for coaching etc.
